The house was like a nightmare come true.
Everything about it was in a terrible state.
The only good thing was that the house had a good foundation, and the primary walls were nice and firm. It also had a beautiful view of the lake hence its name, which is one of the reasons I decided to buy it. The other reason was to make it my project; as an interior designer, I saw the potential, and it would also attract more clients once I was done with it, and I would use the before and after to boost my business. Together with two other people, we stripped it down to its primary form. We started working on it bit by bit. It finally came time to involve the home services company in installing the HVAC equipment. At first, I had thought that we would retain the ductwork and do duct cleaning, but when a friend who is an HVAC professional inspected it, she said that the best thing to do would be to remove everything. Everything beginning from the smart HVAC, would be brand new. My house in the city not only has an HVAC system with good air purification help, but it also has an additional whole home air purification unit. I did not see the need for an air purification system here in the lake since the air was fresher than in the city. The trees would take care of some of the air purifications. The indoor air quality would still be high without the additional equipment. Regularly changing the air filter would be enough for good air quality, according to the HVAC technician.
