When my associate and I bought our ductless heating and A/C system, one of the things my associate and I were told was that it never needed servicing.
- I was doubting this remark, since it went from winter season to summer time in one unit.
My nice friend and I were using the heating and A/C system nearly all year round, and I was sure my associate and I needed to disinfect or something. I called our sister-in-law, who installed the ductless heating and A/C system, and asked if she was sure my associate and I didn’t need the ductless heating and A/C worked on? She asked herself and others who told us that. After explaining it was the same woman who installed the heating and A/C system, she lost her attitude. She said it doesn’t need a lot of servicing, however a professional heating and A/C specialist should come to the condo about once a year and disinfect the system. Mold and dirt can gather inside, and it needs to be flushed or it can pour out onto the floor. I wasn’t cheerful with this. I had the ductless heating and A/C installed about two years ago. I was wondering if the heat and air conditioning could not be making our family sick. She came to the condo that day and flushed the entire system. She said it will be fine, and reminded myself and others to call him in the Springtime and have him come over and do the servicing again. I’m sure I either heard him wrong, or she had spoken wrong, however I’m cheerful and I questioned him about servicing the ductless heating and A/C system. My nice friend and I could have ended up with air that wasn’t healthy, or a big mess in the house. I wasn’t prepared for either one.
