My mother-in-law got us a new smart thermostat for Christmas this year and I really love it.
I was really surprised when we opened up the gift that she got for us and it turned out to be a crucial piece for our home’s heating and cooling system.
She knew that we were trying to improve the indoor air quality in our house a little bit at a time, but we didn’t have a whole lot of money in our home improvement fund. We had to put a new roof on our house during the summer and so that meant that we didn’t end up with a lot of cash to spend on anything else in the house for the heating and cooling system. We were in desperate need of a new thermostat for the house because the old thermostat that was in the house had been there forever. It was there when we first moved into the house two years before and we had just never gotten around to replacing it up until this point. I guess my mother in law found out that we were looking at different smart thermostat units and so she took it upon herself to go to the HVAC company to pick one out for us. She got a really great smart thermostat for us. My husband installed it himself and it has already made a big difference in the indoor air quality in the house. I’m excited to see how much money we end up saving on our heating and cooling bills this year!
