I was hearing a lot of odd noises coming from the Heating and A/C idea last week.
The old heating system sounded like the metal was banging against metal every time the heating system turned on. I told our partner Tom I wanted him to call the Heating and A/C corporation and have them send a specialist out to the house. Tom said something that sounded negative. I instantaneously knew what he was thinking and I had to stop him before he started. Tom told me I didn’t need an Heating and A/C specialist. After reminding Tom of the debacle he had when trying to repair the a/c unit, I asked if he was sure Tom wanted to try working on the heating system. The Heating and A/C specialist had scolded him once about working on a area of the Heating and A/C system, and what happened if Tom did harm to the heating system, or to himself. He wasn’t thrilled about our reminding Tom about what happened with the a/c unit, but he agreed not to work on the central heating system. When the Heating and A/C specialist arrived, he asked how long it had been since Tom and I had the HVAC duct cleaned. He explained that if the HVAC duct has a lot of dust in it, it can make the HVAC duct rattle and it sounds love grating. He commanded Tom and I have a professional HVAC duct cleaner come in and do the job. Tom humphed when he heard the Heating and A/C specialist. Tom was sure that he could have come to that conclusion, and I just stared at him. I knew Tom thought he could do all repairs in the house, however my friend and I had a lot of bad experiences with Tom working on Heating and A/C, and I don’t want to repeat any of those experiences.
