I spent many afternoons lounging in front of my fireplace wrapped in a blanket because our heating system could hardly keep the condo warm.
This was only downside many in the middle of the day, and I swore Max and I had nearly as much wind in the condo as my friend and I had outside.
Max said it was the cold wind coming down the fireplace chimney and had little to do with lack of insulation. Max had the insulation evaluated before winter, and it was fine. I had to be grateful that Max and I had a brick fireplace to back up the heat of the heating system, however even that was having a difficult time putting out enough heat. I turned on the TV and started enjoying a movie when Max came in and picked up our feet. He put the blanket up around his neck and said he was cold. After shaking our head, I told Max he could have gotten his own blanket, but he said mine would do. Max and I started talking about all the times my friend and I sat in front of the brick fireplace drinking wine. He had special firewood to put in the fireplace to make the room smell nice, and it was some sexy memories. When the weather broke, and the central heating system could keep up with the cold and wind, Max was going to put the fireplace out. I asked why he was in such a hurry. It would soon be Valentine’s Day and Max and I could make more memories in front of the fireplace. I wanted to tell Max he was going to be a father on Valentine’s Day, and the fireplace would make for an unquestionably cozy locale to deliver the news to him.
