I was planning on melting chocolate to drizzle over our peanut butter cake, but I waited too long.
By then the a/c had quit working while I was in town getting the ingredients to make our peanut butter cake.
I had chocolate in the freezer and pulled it out to use… When I got back from the grocery store, it surprised me how sizzling and damp it was in my house. I called a Heating and A/C corporation and told them there was something wrong with my central a/c unit, and decided I could still bake the cakes. I was going to unwrap the chocolate bars and put them in the melting pot, however the lack of a/c had beat me to it, and before I could consider unwrapping the chocolate, I had to put it back in the freezer to solidify again. I was so frustrated and angry, and I knew I had at least more than two hours before a Heating and A/C specialist got to the house. I baked the cakes and put them on the porch to cool down, since it was now hotter inside than it was inside. I brought the cake back inside to make sure it wasn’t getting tacky because of the humidity and realized that it was past the time for the Heating and A/C specialist to arrive. I put the cake in the icebox and pulled the chocolate out… An hour later, I was pouring chocolate on our yummy cake, and still waiting for the Heating and A/C specialist. I was waiting on the porch, cooling off, when the Heating and A/C specialist arrived, then he asked if I wasn’t too sizzling to be outside. I smiled and said it was much cooler than it was in the house.
