I couldn't figure out why the light switch didn't turn anything on or off

I’ve purchased a lot of different houses without really looking at them first.

I have flipped houses for the past twenty years.

I have eyes and ears all over the place and people look out for me when they see a good deal. One of my friends named James called me because he found out a storage unit was coming up for auction. He said the storage unit had some good stuff in it and he wanted to know if I wanted to bid on it. He took a couple of pictures real quick, but I didn’t get a good look at everything until I was standing there in front of the storage unit that I bought for $550. I flipped on the light switch that should have turned on any overhead light inside. I flipped the switch two and three times and nothing happened. I called the front office and the manager came down to the storage locker to check on the lights. He flipped it up and down the same as me and said yep, it’s broken. He had to call a residential repair electrician to fix the problem. During all that time while we waited for the residential repair electrician to arrive, all I could do was use a flashlight to see as much of the room as possible. When the electrician finally fixed the problem, I got lights and I could see everything inside the room. There were quite a few things that looked valuable and my buddy was right about the good deal.
