And I was stunned by the amount of gunk that came out of our ductworks. There was far more debris than I thought possible. It was way, way overdue for ductwork cleaning, then once it was done, it was immediately obvious the indoor air quality had risen significantly. And I’m happy to see the added efficiency on a/c this Summer thanks to the ductwork resealing, but having seen how much stuff came out of the ductworks, I’m wondering if those ductworks had ever been cleaned.

And then, it was time to face the garage. This was really the largest waste of usable space in our home, not only were neither of our cars inside the two automobile garage, it was filled with mostly worthless stuff. My associate and I started by getting anything that worked to charity. And then, it was load up for the dump. It took us a pair of weekends however my fantastic friend and I did it. My associate and I then called the HVAC supplier to have them install a ductless heat pump in order use part of the garage as a hobbies and craft area. I have been so satisfied by the level of quality heating and air my fantastic friend and I now have in our garage. And my fantastic friend and I both appreciate maximizing the usable space my fantastic friend and I have with the addition of the ductless heat pump.

I’m not sure that my fantastic friend and I might just turn off the heat pump next winter season and rely on a space boiler for our sporadic heating needs.

It’s certainly difficult not to be impressed with the heat pump… But my new neighbors seem to just take the heat pump for granted, then perhaps residing where you need a gas furnace for heating in the winter season makes you that much more aware of the heat pump! It’s amazing to me that I’m getting all my heating and cooling from one machine. I’m new to this area and my only regret is that I didn’t transfer down here earlier, however that might have been a fantastic thing for me to have done.
