I had very little time for anything besides work because the audit season had arrived and was taking place. As the department manager, my supplier relied on me to make sure that all auditors turned in their reports on time and that my associate and I were also on schedule.
As I rarely have a few minutes to myself, such times are stressful for me.
Thanks to the fact that I frequently have guests over, I can focus entirely on my work without having to worry about anything else. But this past year was unique. My children would not return until three months after taking a lengthy vacation at my sibling’s house. My wife was on a mission and wouldn’t return for another 12 months. This implied that I might feel alone and that things might become too much to handle. Unfortunately for me, I neglected to handle anything besides work. It took a friend of mine who was over to notice how unpleasant the air was in my home. She asked me to call the HVAC technician for a checkup while she was there and coughed the entire time. At this point, I realized I had neglected to adhere to the recommended Heating & A/C service schedule. When the HVAC worker arrived, the HVAC supplier had called to report that nobody was there. Aside from forgetting, I had also promised to call them back. I hurried to look at the A/C filters and discovered that they were disgustingly clogged. It was obvious that my a/c component had strained even though I had changed the filters, and I dreaded the energy bill I would receive that month. I immediately called the heating and air conditioning company to schedule the regular maintenance. To make sure this was completed, I took the following afternoon off. They did some cleaning and repairs that would have gotten worse if I had waited any longer.
